Kimberly Torres
Newsroom Manager
For over a decade, Kimberly Torres has been committed to providing outstanding support to The Arizona Republic/azcentral newsroom. She started her career in 2012 as a Senior Information Specialist where she worked alongside the newsroom manager and newsroom customer service team. In 2020 she was promoted to newsroom manager, and in this position she continues to provide a window for the community and public to the newsroom while making sure the newsroom office and everything behind the scenes is working smoothly. Kimberly is passionate about ensuring those around her have the tools they need to be successful. Kimberly is a native Arizonan, born in Tucson and grew up in Phoenix. She has been a National Weather Service Skywarn Spotter since 2009. Kimberly considers herself a news junkie. Her 5 year old daughter keeps her on her toes and encourages her to drink her coffee and water and reminds her to b-r-e-a-t-h-e. Fun fact: Retired veteran features reporter Scott Craven and long-time photographer Mark Henle interviewed Kimberly and followed her in a Back-to-School feature story in 1993 whilst she went clothes shopping with her father, Dan at JCPenney's at Chris-Town Mall and on her first day of 4th grade at Clarendon Elementary with her teacher, Sharon Pegany with The Phoenix Gazette.
